Available now is the CARAVAN BATTLE STAGE boxset, which compiles our three previously released caravan titles (Cycho Rider, Force Gear and Twin Bee Returns) and adds the title that started the whole caravan affair on the PC Engine – the so called “Special Version” of GUNHED.

Gunhed Special was used by Hudson in 1989 as their first “official caravan soft”. It features two game modes (a 2-minute and a 5-minute run) based on (but slightly different than) the 3rd stage of the original Gunhed (Blazing Lasers in the US). Gunhed Special wasn’t available in stores, instead it was exclusively available through a small number of marketing campaigns.
